Hilarious Video!

You have to stop what you are doing (other than reading my blog) and go watch this video right now!

Don’t get bored, watch until he becomes a dancing puppet.

Be a Cheerful Giver!

Holy Cow! Have you ever heard a church cheer when the pastor says it’s time to take up the offering?

Me neither.

Until tonight!

Check this out and listen closely around 1:35!

Cool Program

If you have a mac you have to check out this program! It is something I have used for a while and I love it. I was just iChatting a friend of mine and told him about it. I figured I would put the link up here.

Basically it hides inactive applications. Pretty simple idea. Instead of hitting Apple + H to hide a program, it does it for you automatically.

One note, tell it to exclude finder. If it hides finder then you may be working in (insert fav app here) and hit apple + h to hide and it won’t hide. This is because finder is hidden and you have to have one app not hidden.

Also I have my inactive time to set to 90 secs if anyone is curious.

Hope you enjoy!

A Rock-n Summer! part 1

I’m totally excited because I get to preach tomorrow for the 122, which is the High School service. There are two services so I will be preaching twice.

I am excited about how God has created this message.

Brent who normally preaches was in california for the PDYM Student Leadership Conference He asked me about a month ago if I would preach for him! I was excited because I haven’t had the opportunity to preach in almost two years.

Instantly I felt like I should share an analogy I learned while at school about a rock. (more to come later about that) Anyways, when it came time for the outline to be due I still hadn’t finalized what I was going to say. I spent about 3 or 4 hours searching through scripture and coming up with 3 points and verses. I had thought I would do it one way.

Well, Thursday my wife and son got sick and I had to stay home from work and then Friday I was sick and today I have been still recovering. So here it is late in the game and I am doing this message.

I started out and sat down in front of the computer and started typing away. I didn’t feel good about it though. I realized I didn’t even pray before I started. So I stopped.

I prayed (out loud, very cool and I am learning that I need to do more of this) and quoted some scripture to God about that I am calling out for help and that he will answer me. I knew he had a message for these students and I didn’t want to stand in the way of that

As soon as I was done praying I started typing and the message went in a whole other direction that perfectly fit the three points and verses that I had picked out previously in the week. Way better than what I had the first time around!

So I had to pause to write this out because I am so excited. Back to it now!

BTW, part two will be some of my message and results from the day!

Maybe I’ll do the classic Perry Noble Sunday reflections.

Luke playing Wii for the first time

This was recorded with my treo 650 so excuse the poor quality! What did we do before we always had a camera and video camera with us to capture those special moments? Gotta love Technology!

Wii are family!

Ok… I have to confess something.  When the wii first came out, i thought it was a stupid idea.  I WAS WRONG!  My grandmother bought my uncle a wii for his birthday last week.  I went over to visit not knowing this and imagine my surprise to see my grandmother playing a contemporary gaming console!  There she was in her pajamas standing in front of the TV, wii remote in hand, swinging her arms and bending down to bowl.  🙂

That was awesome to see!  But then on top of that to see my daughter Mia (6 yrs old) playing and having the time of her life, that was priceless.  Finally a gaming system for the whole family!  So my grandmother and mom went in together and got me one for my birthday and gave it to me early.  So I brought it home for the true test!  My Wife, who has always made fun of me and given me a hard time about my passion for games!   She played a little bit last night with me with not much to say.  But today on iChat she messages me and says I just threw a pitch 98 mph.  Also I bowled a 156, which beat my score I did this morning before leaving for work.  She was excited!

I love Wii!

We are now a “Wii Family”
