Excited!

For those of you that don’t know, I am back involved in youth ministry on Sundays.  Whooo Hoooo!

I am pumped up.  I will be playing in the band and helping out with games, as well as giving the message when Brent and Deborah go out of town.  Tonight is my first rehearsal.  I can’t wait.

I also get to preach on September the 16th and the 23rd!

Old Friend, New Blogger

Greg Coe is a very close friend of mine.  That’s a way huge understatement.  Let me describe him like this…

  • He was my RA leader at my previous church when I was young (5 or 6)
  • He always liked me because the first time I met him he asked me what I wanted to be and I said a rock star
  • He never turned his back on me when I was busted, even though others did (debateable)
  • Gave me guitar lessons
  • Set my wife and I up on a blind date (obviously a success)
  • Best man at wedding
  • Godfather to my kids
  • Was a key influencer in getting me a job @ Highlands (other than God and Ev of course)

So it is with great pleasure I introduce you to his blog!  Check out his first post! He’s off to a great start.  Love this line.

ok pretty deep stuff for the first time out of the box, but life is made up of things such as this…

Best Mac Application

A friend of mine got a mac recently. He hasn’t used Mac OS in a very long time. He was asking me about applications that I use.

I told him about spirited away, Snapz Pro, Cyberduck, Bloglines Notifier, FCP Rescue, Mac the Ripper, Mediafork/handbrake, Monolingual, mpeg Streamclip, and Text Wrangler.

But I did not tell him about Quicksilver. I use quicksilver more than any application. It’s uses are really unlimited. Check out this link to 43folders for any post related to Quicksilver, this is where I heard about it (and learned how to use it).

Cool Program

If you have a mac you have to check out this program! It is something I have used for a while and I love it. I was just iChatting a friend of mine and told him about it. I figured I would put the link up here.

Basically it hides inactive applications. Pretty simple idea. Instead of hitting Apple + H to hide a program, it does it for you automatically.

One note, tell it to exclude finder. If it hides finder then you may be working in (insert fav app here) and hit apple + h to hide and it won’t hide. This is because finder is hidden and you have to have one app not hidden.

Also I have my inactive time to set to 90 secs if anyone is curious.

Hope you enjoy!
